Grinding out the Merchant and Leatherworking Professions in an easy, chill way. Includes a decent rate gaining Knowledge Points
Method
Starting with Leatherworking and selling or keeping your tanned Leather while also stoping at the Guild Bounty Board every Leatherworking Loop to accumulate 6 high-KP Guild Bounties. Performing 2-3 Leatherworking Loops and then turning in 6 Merchant Bounties will yield easy XP and fairly quick KP rewards.
1) Starting in the Tannery
To start off, get a full inventory of your highest lvl Hide from Franz at the Hide Stall.
Tan all your Hides to Leather and then Teleport to the Crenopolis Market.
2) Merchant Bounties
From the Market Teleporter run over to the Guild Bounty Boards(s) and take any Bounty that has:
- 500+ reward value for KP (A list of these Bounties are at bottom of Guide)
- Rare or Epic value.
- Acquiring Bounties within the City limits. Traverse quickly for picking up and delivering Bounties. I ususally avoid Bounties related to Fortunehold Farm or the Cyclops area.
Aftering picking up Merchant Bounties, sell or deposit the leathers and then go back to Franz to acquire more hides and repeat the process.
When you have around 66% KP (usually after the 2nd Leatherworking Loop), Complete all 6 Merchant Bounties. This should bring you to earning 1 KP. If not, repeat the Leatherworking Loop one more time, and then also check back with the Guild Bounty boards for any potentially better Bounties to choose from.
3) Loop Method Rewards
Performing 2-3 Loops of tanning Hides along with acquiring 6 Bounties with high-KP generation will have you set with at least:
- ~66-99% KP
- 6 Bounties with 36+% potential KP reward
There's usually a good chance of acquiring 1 KP every 2 Loops with 6 good Bounties. But if not, then that 3rd Loop will definitely bring you over the 1 KP threshold and boost you into the 10-30% KP range for starting your next 2 Loops.
I found this way to be somewhat AFK'able with the Leatherworking portion, and then getting a large boost of KP when actively doing the Merchant Bounty deliveries (which can take at most 4-5min of active playing)
Tips
- If wanting to be more AFK, only grab Epic or the highest KP Guild Bounty that is offered for your level. Over time, you acquire 6 very rewarding Bounties that can give a large boost to either XP or KP, dpeending what you are after.
- The slowest profession is Leatherworking to level, so I usually put my KP->XP conversion into Leatherworking. Or since its a fairly quick to acquire KP, you may put it any other skill you desire.
