7/8/2026 - Anonymous Login's & Lots more
Thank You for Using Adothria
Hey everyone! Just want to thank all of you who come here to post trades, edit the database, share on the social feed, and everything else this community does @ Adothria.com. You're what makes this place work. ![]()
I've been updating the site a lot lately without posting about the changes, and I'm sorry about that — we've been evolving at a rapid pace and the updates outran the announcements. I'll do my best to make these posts a regular thing.
Today's update deserves one, though. ![]()
Some of you have been (rightly) vocal about not wanting to link a Steam or Discord account just to be here. That was fair criticism. We aim for the strongest security we can build, but we weren't offering the thing many of you actually asked for: anonymity.
That changes today.
Anonymous Logins — no email, no password, no identity
You can now create an Adothria account out of thin air. No email. No password. No third-party account. We never learn who you are — the only thing we store is a random account code.
Passkeys — create an account with a single tap using Windows Hello, Face ID, or a security key. Phishing-proof by design, and it works with your password manager (yes, even LastPass
).
Authenticator apps — scan a QR into Google Authenticator, Aegis, 2FAS, or any TOTP app, and that app is your account. Fully offline, nothing synced to anyone's cloud. Comes with one-time recovery codes
and a "remember this device" option so returning users only ever type 6 digits.
Scan to sign in — already signed in on your phone? Point its camera at the QR on the login page and approve. The computer signs itself in. This works for every account — Steam and Discord folks get it too.
Mix and match — link Steam, Discord, passkeys, and an authenticator to one account in any combination, just like Steam + Discord linking works today.
No CAPTCHAs, no trackers — instead of making you click traffic lights for some third party, your browser quietly solves a small puzzle when creating an account. Bots pay the price; you don't even notice.
The login page got a glow-up — one clean panel, the live sign-in QR front and center, and a clear picture of what your account unlocks.
The security corner
For those who care (I do): authenticator secrets are encrypted with a key held in an isolated service that the website itself cannot read. Every code is strictly single-use — replay a code and it bounces. Repeated failures lock the account with escalating timeouts. And no method — anonymous, Steam, or Discord — ever sends us a password.
One honest warning: anonymous accounts have no email reset, on purpose. If you lose your authenticator and your recovery codes, the account is gone — that's what real anonymity costs. Guard those codes like ![]()
